There is growing evidence to suggest that low dose naltrexone can improve the quality of life for many patients with various autoimmune diseases, cancers, and other conditions. Naltrexone is an opioid antagonist which works by blocking the opioid receptors. This causes the body to decrease production of certain naturally occurring opioids. The medication is given once daily in a lower dose preparation. Currently, these therapies are off-label. There are, however, a number of case studies that indicate the efficacy of the drug in certain disease states. If you are interested in reading clinical studies involving treating these diseases with LDN, please enter your e-mail address in the form below. |
